Love fantasy stories filled with dragons, magic, portals, and epic quests? Then you’ll love Tolkien About Fantasy, a creative writing program for teens and tweens who dream of writing their own fantastical tales. We’ll talk about all things fantasy- where the genre came from, how it’s evolved, and why we love it so much. We’ll share the fantasy books we’ve read and loved, and look at what makes a great fantasy story tick: worldbuilding, magic systems, heroes, villains, and the ultimate quest. Then the real magic begins: writing stories of our own. Each session, you'll draw a closing line prompt from a mysterious goblet filled with final sentences waiting to inspire. Your mission? To write a brand-new fantasy story that leads to that final line. Whether you're an experienced writer or just getting started, Tolkein About Fantasy is a fun, supportive space to create, share, and let your imagination run wild!
