Tweens and teens will each make exquisite corpse wooden blocks by designing mix-and-match figures. Block will be divided into heads, bodies, and legs. Crazy creatures are made as blocks are arranged!
Step into the world of surrealist creativity with this hands-on art experience! Inspired by the exquisite corpse — a quirky parlor game invented by artists in the 1920s — this workshop lets teens and tweens design and paint their own set of mix-and-match wooden character blocks. They will each get a set of three wooden blocks to turn into a stackable creature or anything their imaginations dream up. Draw heads on the top block, bodies in the middle, and legs or tails on the bottom—then twist and rotate the blocks to create endless wild combinations! Each participant takes home a fully unique, interactive sculpture they can rearrange again and again!
